In a few words, what does being a “Trailblazer” mean to you, and how did your path into wealth management begin?
To me, being a trailblazer means enduring and honoring the test of fire forged by those who came before us. We have so much to learn on this journey, and most of it wouldn’t be possible without the mentors, friends, and role models who began clearing the way, giving us the courage and clarity to carry the work forward. I owe my start in wealth management to one of those mentors who helped me land a role on a data‑entry team. From there, I quickly realized I had a knack for transforming operational processes, and I just kept following my curiosity. That curiosity, and the people who invested in me early on, shaped everything that came next.
When you first entered the industry, what did the landscape look like for women, and what early lessons still shape how you lead today?
When I first entered the industry nearly 20 years ago, women were still working hard to gain a foothold in positions of influence. I often felt, and still do, that women have to work twice as hard to achieve a given level of success, especially in the wealth management industry. I remember once being told, people may not remember what you did, but people will remember how you made them feel. To this day, I think about that shared piece of wisdom and it helps me maintain perspective. No matter the situation, a good leader must lead from the heart with empathy, clarity, and intention.
What challenges have you faced along the way, and what mindset or skills helped you push through and keep going?
I’ve faced many challenges along with way, but the biggest one came when I became a mother. I suddenly had to find balance between my own ambitions, the ever-growing demands of a full-time job, and the joy and responsibility of having a family. My husband and I had to make difficult decisions about work-life balance and, ultimately, I was fortunate to find a work situation that supported my desire to be present in my daughters’ lives. A family-first mindset has always helped guide me in the right direction. Some things are simply not worth compromising. I have two daughters, and I love them very much. I push forward for them because they remind me of what matters most.

Where are you today in your career, and what unique perspectives do you believe women bring to wealth management and leadership?
I’m finally having fun again! Americana Partners is growing, and the challenges ahead of us are such exciting opportunities to learn and to elevate how we serve our clients. Today, I am a key member of the management team serving as the Chief Platform Officer and overseeing all technology and product operations. I am fortunate to work alongside incredibly talented people who freely share their wisdom and perspectives. I believe women bring an essential dimension to decision-making in wealth management. Many of us are especially collaborative, hard-working, strong communicators, and natural problem solvers, but above all I think our greatest strength is our intuition and our ability to truly listen. Those qualities shape healthier teams, better decisions, and deeper relationships all of which strengthen this industry.
Looking ahead, what excites you most about the future of women in wealth management, and what advice would you give to the next generation of trailblazers?
Looking ahead, I am most excited to see the new generation of talented females who will follow the path of trailblazers that went before them. I’d tell them to
- Find breath in the moment. Don’t underestimate the importance of grounding yourself before action.
- Believe in the kindness of others. Not everyone will help you, but the right people will.
- Embrace learning as a lifelong process. Keep adapting, growing, and nurturing your curiosity.
- You are enough.
